It's 1991... two years after the fall of the Berlin Wall... and the
spyworld is facing a radical shakeup. So, what do a pirate radio
station, a long lost diary, a suspected double agent and the sudden
death of Britain's best loved breakfast show DJ have to do with the
London Underground and mysterious soundwaves underneath the Fitzroy
Theatre? Canadian intelligence agent and television actor Evan Harris
knows. And he's recruited his three sons to help him unmask the traitor
deep within the British espionage community. The result is a sting
operation not unlike a storyline from Evan's 1960s cult tv series, Spy Squad.
Cold Play
(Fiction)
Forget everything you
remember about "The Love Boat." It's 2011. It's Alaska. And ship's
entertainer Jason Davey hates that theme song.
Forty-three
year old Jason works as an entertainer aboard the tiny, aging cruise
ship "Star Sapphire".
When one of Jason's followers on Twitter - a woman named Jilly, whose
"constructed personality" acts as Jess's "Guardian Angel" - warns him
that danger awaits on the upcoming voyage, Jason is sceptical - and
wary.
But Jilly is not wrong. Over the next few days, Jason - who has run
away to sea, consumed with guilt over the death of his wife in a fire
caused by his discarded cigarette - crosses paths with an obsessed
stalker, an alcoholic guitarist with a dicey past, and a beautiful but
eccentric actress with murderously dark secrets.
When Jason embarks upon a tentative shipboard romance with travel agent
Katey Shawcross, his stalker reacts with rage and jealousy, threatening
harm.
Worse, when a deal to turn the ship into a floating hotel falls
through, and plans are made to scrap her, the "Sapphire" seems to want
to choose her own dramatic end...

Skywatcher
(Spy thriller)
(Finalist in Seal Books First Novel Award)
Publisher: Bantam Books, 1989
ISBN-13: 978-0553280807
It
all starts with a
mysterious
Russian woman
with rainbow-
coloured spiked hair and granny boots. She thrusts a cheap
toy robot into the hands of an unsuspecting student and runs
off into the crowd on the university mall. Two hours later, she
falls to her death from the top of a high-rise building.
The
police think it's
suicide. But
Christopher
Robin Harris knows
better. Soon he finds himself in the middle of an awesome plot
that seems to have been lifted directly from one of his father's
old "Spy Squad" tv episodes.
For
it turns out that Evan
Harris is
indeed a
real spy - and Robin
and his two equally eccentric brothers have inadvertently walked
into the scene of a real life - and death - spy drama. And as far
as the free world is concerned, Robin's entrance into the family
business comes not a moment too soon.
