The Vintner will be a very exciting project, as the model is none other than the founder of the Vintner's Quality Alliance, Harry McWaters.

The Vintner

As the centerpiece of this collection, this painting could scarcely have turned out better. It was modeled by none other than Harry McWatters, Founder and General Manager of Sumac Ridge Winery.

There could not have been a more appropriate model for this image. Mr. McWatters is profoundly influential in BC's wine industry as is implied by the marble column upon which he stands. Yet, as his simple footwear suggests, he remains grounded and accessible to even this humble artist.

The Hick

"The Hick" was modeled by none other than Ben Crane, a prominent illustrator who may be best known for the work done for the Leanin' Tree greeting card company. This may be the most accurate representation of this series.

How do you frame something like this? An imaginative approach can have stunning effect. I found a frame made from lumber rejected by a pallet factory. Then, I scanned some rough boards , and printed that scan onto a white mat board, from which the framer cut the mat. And voila, the hick is back in his element!

Giclée Prints What are they?

Giclée - a French term meaning 'a spray of ink.'

Will Enns Studios is pleased to offer fine-art giclée prints of Will Enns's vibrant watercolor images.

These fine reproductions are created in house. The process begins with a high quality digital scan of the original image. Once the image is digitized, color corrections are made until the printed image meets with the artist's approval.

The images are output to an Epson Stylus Pro 7600 wide-format fine-art printer, which uses the seven color Epson Ultrachrome archival inkset, and is rated for 100 years resistance to fading.

The reproductions are printed on archival canvas or watercolor paper, especially designed for the fine-art print market. In the case of canvas prints, Will Enns Studios further protects your investment by spraying the finished prints with an ultraviolet resistant varnish designed especially for this purpose. As a result, the framed image does not need to be kept behind glass, allowing you to enjoy the vibrant images without the distraction of reflections.

In the case of prints on cotton rag (watercolor paper) they need to be be treated just as original watercolor paintings are - with acid free framing materials, and glass.
