Giclée Prints What are they?

Giclée - a French term meaning 'a spray of ink.'

Will Enns Studios is pleased to offer fine-art giclée prints of Will Enns's vibrant watercolor images.

These fine reproductions are created in house. The process begins with a high quality digital scan of the original image. Once the image is digitized, color corrections are made until the printed image meets with the artist's approval.

The images are output to an Epson Stylus Pro 7600 wide-format fine-art printer, which uses the seven color Epson Ultrachrome archival inkset, and is rated for 100 years resistance to fading.

The reproductions are printed on archival canvas or watercolor paper, especially designed for the fine-art print market. In the case of canvas prints, Will Enns Studios further protects your investment by spraying the finished prints with an ultraviolet resitant varnish designed especially for this purpose. As a result, the framed image does not need to be kept behind glass, allowing you to enjoy the vibrant images without the distraction of reflections.

In the case of prints on cotton rag (watercolor paper) they need to be be treated just as original watercolor paintings are - with acid free framing materials, and glass.
