We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new member to our household.

Introducing......Maija ( pronounced my-ya)

Maija is a Norwegian Elkhound.

( Adult weight is 45-50 pounds)

Born in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada

December 12th, 2005

Maija at age 5 weeks. Then still living at the breeders.

Maija next to the fence and her 3 brothers inside the shed.

Just over 6 weeks old, aprox 11 ½ pounds, and now at home with us.

She only slept in this box for week.

She was quite vocal about not wanting to sleep in here anymore.

Now she is in her comfort zone on the floor next to our bed.

7 Weeks old. Doesn't she look like a stinker?

8 Weeks Old, aprox 14 pounds and growing like a weed.

7 weeks she was 11½ pounds.

8½ weeks she was 14½ pounds.

At 10 weeks old( Feb 27th, 2006) she is 18½ pounds.

Here she is at 3½ months of age. ( March 22,06 )

Her black guardhairs are coming in fast not to mention she is growing fast.

APRIL 12TH, 2006

( AGE 4 MONTHS) --- 30 LBS.

Add 6 weeks to the last picture and poof, she is full grown in size.

Here she is at 5½ months. Not sure of weight.

Will take her to the Petshop and weigh her soon.
