Agreement Form to be a Pilot of UVicFCI
General
The purpose of the University of Victoria Flying Club International (UVicFCI) is to offer flights for pleasure or sightseeing to its members. UVicFCI shall use Juan Air as Flight School Unit Facility. Only UVicFCI members who meet our requirements (*see below) for being UVicFCI’s pilots may act as Pilot-In-Command. The pilots must receive Waiver & Release Form from their passengers before their passengers go on board. The pilot must not receive any tips or reward as a pilot. Finally, the Pilot-In-Command has total responsibility for its flights.

Termination
Members wishing to terminate their membership in the Club must send written notification to the President of UVicFCI, Seigo Sakamoto, on or before the last day of the month in which they wish to terminate.

Aircraft Renting & Record of Flight
Each UVicFCI’s pilot is required to record in the UVic Flying Club Flight Log. The entry must include the member's number, name, date, time of use, and costs. The UVicFCI’s pilot may share the cost of aircraft renting fee. It is renter pilot’s (pilot in command) responsibility to provide original receipts for an aircraft rental, also the renter must pay rental fee under UVicFCI’s account in order to get one hour free rental for UVicFCI  only after accumulating 10 hours of flight time. The renter pilot's must submit the receipts or its copies to president of UVicFCI. In any case, if the pilot rents an aircraft other than Juan Air, the pilot must pay 10% of the renting costs to UVicFCI.

Aircraft Checkout & Currency Requirements
Every UVicFCI’s pilot must demonstrate his or her knowledge and abilities in the aircraft he or she wishes to fly as UVicFCI’s pilot, to the satisfaction of a flight instructor, Seigo Sakamoto. The checkout will consist of, at a minimum, a review of aircraft systems, ground handling, and flight maneuvers for which the aircraft and the pilot are certified.

Each UVicFCI’s pilot must receive a Flight Proficiency Check from the instructor, Seigo Sakamoto, every 24 calendar months in the highest performance aircraft the UVicFCI’s pilot fly.

In order to act as pilot-in-command of UVicFCI’s pilot, the pilot must have at least 80 hours of total including 35 hours of pilot-in-command after private pilot flight test. Also UVicFCI’s pilot must have log at least one full an hour of flight time, and make at least 5 takeoffs and landings to a full stop in the same make and model within the preceding 60 days for tricycle gear aircraft.

* Currency requirements may be waived by the Flight Instructor (Seigo Sakamoto) or designee if the pilot is deemed to be sufficiently experienced to safely conduct the proposed flight.
