Welcome to the Kinkaid Family webpage. We live in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. Bill works as a customer service representative for Flash Courier and Cheryl works for the Dean of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia.
Some of our hobbies include singing, genealogy, pet birds, crafts, natural history, reading and gardening. We are involved with several organisations in the Vancouver area that are related to our interests.
Bill is still singing with the Vancouver City Lights Chorus and acts as treasurer for the group. Keep a watch on their calendar page for the dates of upcoming concerts.
Cheryl is treasurer of CUPE local 2950 at UBC and joined the board of her housing co-op this year.
Our family includes three cockatiels named Hawk, Coco and Malory as well as a young hedgehog named Llewellyn. They have their own web page if you're interested in learning more about them.
Bill and Cheryl are both involved in the Nature Vancouver. Bill leads hikes throughout the Vancouver area which are listed on the calendar page.
Cheryl also knits, sews, crochets and cross stitches projects for volunteer groups, family members and her own use.
Cheryl has also spent time gathering family history information. The family trees are included on this page. If you have any information to share or if you would like more detailed information about the family tree, please contact Cheryl.
Cheryl is also currently working on a Certificate in Genealogical Studies through continuing education at the University of Toronto and taking courses at UBC towards a degree.
