Banks in Canada are risk shy and reluctant to lend to small businesses and often over secure their loans. This can make it difficult for other lenders to step in and lend. Difficult but not impossible. Banks do have a vital role in the money market and we utilize them when appropriate.
There are other Canadian and international financial institutions that have different perspectives and criteria. They do fund businesses that the banks have refused. They specialize in specific sectors and employ sophisticated risk assessment models. They are large, well funded but still have the necessary leanness to go out and get quality businesses for their portfolios. Many Canadian business people have developed a "lending myopia". They have been weaned on the major banks and find it difficult to believe that other companies can and do provide better financial services. The problems in the Canadian money markets have been reviewed in the Government of Canada's TaskForce on the Future of the Canadian Financial Services Sector. It is a long and tedious but worth the read.
Diversified has developed contacts with the major banks and the other players in the Canadian market. We look for the best sources of funding or the best financial package for your company.
We are professional brokers and our fees do depend on the amount of work necessary to get you your funding.Generally our fees range from 1.5% up to 5%. In certain cases there will be residual payments. Minimum charges are applicable. All fees are contingent upon approval of funding. Not all requests are approved.
We do not arrange mortgages nor the funding of new ventures.

All information is confidential. Fees will be determined after the application and initial review is done. At that time our broker's agreement will be sent to you for review and signatures. We are always paid first. There are no exceptions to this.

An irrational fear of massive proportions hemming you in from being comfortable in the world around you...that's PANIC! It's symptoms are frightening as well. Our bodies react seemingly on their own in spite of us...we are terrified and embarrassed. Often, the symptoms of panic are described as feelings similar you might experience if you were having a heart attack.
Figuring out the roots and origins of panic is like investigative work. There are feelings and beliefs that grow up around the panic situation which have to be brought to the light of day. Frequently, a combination of medication and therapy is the most effective approach.
Therapy makes a difference.
For the Trauma:
There are events of life-threatening dimensions which can disable us to subtle and profound degrees. They can recur with the same force and detail as when the event actually happened...intruding when we least expect it. Many of us have experienced our own traumas...events or situations that have been printed indelibly in our memories. These generally shape and influence the way we act and think about ourselves and the world around us. It is essential to resolve and dissolve the intensity and immediacy of those traumas in order to focus on the here and now...in order to live fully in the present.
Therapy makes a difference.
For the Grief/ Bereavement:
Loss and change. When the road changes, we can become confused and disoriented. We lose our bearings, don't know or remember where we are going. We are sad, frightened, uncertain. Often, change and loss create spaces for directional adjustments. All of these possibilities are reasons to engage in a conversation about where you are and what you want. This is necessary and good.
How painful it is to lose someone/something close to us...someone on whom we have come to depend and rely...someone we believe will be with us forever. We are attached to those with whom we share large portions of our time and our feelings. We make significant long term emotional investments in each other and believe, against reason, that they will never end. And when they do...as they must...parts of us are suddenly gone, missing. We have holes in our hearts and in our souls. Pieces of us have been ripped out and we hurt...bad!!! Sometimes, those around us don't know what to do or what to say. They may want to...but don't have the words that will be okay for us to hear. Someone both a bit removed and compassionate may be able to hear, to be heard and to help the healing begin in ways that are not available to those around us. By seeing a therapist, the road ahead could be illuminated and illuminating.
