Please pray for my grandson Daniel that he quickly get a good job as he has been out of work and lives with us and has very little money left. He has had a horrible life, his mother gave him to his father at the age of twelve and his father, my son, was absolutely horrible to him and he had such a bad, imotionally and physically abusive life he has no self esteem and will not open up and talk about anything. He keeps it all locked in which is not healthy for him. He has ADHD and does not take meds for it. He is a good Christian and has turned to God for help.

Also, my brother who has asbestosis and severe back problems. His breathing is getting much worse.

My sister has terrible health problems also.

My husband is a severe diabetic and has lost his left leg and half of his right foot to amputation due to the diabetes. He can barely see now, his kidneys are failing, and his heart is working at less than fifty percent. He has had strokes, but came through them okay except for a bit of problem with his speech.

I have had had a heart attack also. I am his complete care taker and I have a disease called Reflex Sypmatheic Dystrophy (RSD)/Chronic Regional Pain Syndrom (CRPS) which affects your entire sympathetic nervous system and causes pain 24/7. I am getting ready to have nerve blocks in my back and if they work I will have a Spinal Stimulator surgically implanted in my back. In January I will have hip replacement due to crushing the pelvis in a car wreck, and then my disease makes me fall all the time and I just fell in April and broke the same hip in another place. They wanted to do hip replacement but I didn't feel I could leave my husband at the time. He has severe insulin reactions and at the time I had no one here to stay with him. Now I regret not having it done cause the RSD can cause pain even in a little cut and it is burning in my incision. Now I have to go through the surgery, recuperation, therapy and everything all over again and he will be alone when my grandson finds a job. So I might as well have had it done in April instead of just the surgery. I am frightened by the hip replacement and the Spinal Stimulator as any incision or surgery can cause pain wherever it is done due to the disease.

My husband and I are Christians and God and our Lord leave us through life, but sometimes it is hard anyway. You try so hard to turn these things over to God, but sometimes, being the humans we are, it is difficult.

My major concern at this time is my grandson get a decent job and keep it, not get layed off as unemployment is so bad here. Please pray for us all and remember us in your future prayers. Thank you and God Bless you and wrap you in his arms and keep you healthy and safe and happy. Rose

Please pray for my 14½ yr old daughter, I almost lost her to drugs and alcohol, all because I truly didn't want to see it, or believe it could happen to one so young! I almost lost my daughter because I was too proud and embarrassed to ask for help. God what a waste that would have been, the worst part is having to live with all the guilt and anger that I allowed this to happen!!!  Will I ever learn to forgive myself for all the harm I caused in the most important person in my life, it's so hard, it hurts so badly, and I've no one to trust or talk to about it. I lost guardianship (temporarily) of my love of my life, and I can't take much more, but she is doing great in a recovery center, I love her so much, how can I live with what I did to her. Mom

I am not religious. I have had a very bad experience (well, my whole childhood) where I experienced religion abused and used to hurt and deceive people and so I decided a long time ago to be spiritual. Whatever that meant to me. However, I had something wonderful happen to me yesterday that I would like to share.

My soul mate and best friend is in the British army, and he went to Afghanistan the start of this month, and I hadn't heard a word from or about him until yesterday. I was worried sick, and trying so hard to stay positive, believe that everything would work out all right etc. Wednesday night I couldn't sleep and had nightmares about him being in serious toruble all night. Thursday night I broke down. I got on my knees (which I know isn't neccessary for prayer, but it felt right) and sobbed out a prayer, who, if it had been heard by anyone but God, they probably would have sniggered a bit. It started something like "I feel really silly doing this, I don't know why I'm on my knees, and I'm not even sure if anyone is listening but..." I prayed for a sign that he was ok, and to please protect him. I finished about 5 minutes later and was able to get the first good sleep in days. The time was 1am. At 2:40 am I missed an international call that started with 44, which means England. I saw it in the morning, and panicked. A call from England meant a call from his parents, and they were only going to call me if he was hurt, or dead. I called the number back, but I was rerouted to an operator that said it was a one way line, and did I know anyone in the armed forces? I said yes, my heart sinking. She told me she had no more information, and to wait for another call. I began to think about my prayer the night before, when the phone rang again. It was him, calling me from the Army's secured line. We had a wonderful conversation, and afterwards, I realized that only an hour and 40 minutes after I had prayed, I had gotten my answer, or would have had I been awake (it was a really good sleep). This amazed me, and I am so grateful and happy. My prayer being answered, for me, is a miracle. I'm not good at trusting others, let alone a God I believed abandoned me to abuse while growing up. Anyways, that's my background story to my prayer request... which is this: I am going to continue praying for Neil's safety, and I was wondering if you could say a prayer for him too?? Obviously prayer works, (God gave me a very easy to understand lesson on that!!) and it would mean a lot to me if you would take a moment out of your day to pray for someone who is very deeply loved and needed by many people (and who annoys the hell out of others, but hey, he's a young man, they sometimes do that!). Please post a prayer for Angela. I just lost my job yesterday. I know it was time to leave, but I am now faced with fears and worries about finding another job (I'm 51 years old) after many years of feeling secure. I have a daughter in college, and while I know God is with me and will help me, I feel stuck in a morass of uncertainty and fear. Please pray for me to have strength and clarity of thought, and healing from the anger and bitterness I feel toward my former boss and some co-workers. I ask God to bless them, too.

My needs are not as great as many others I have been reading on this site, but if you all could please take a moment to pray for me for strength and inspiration as I seek out not just another "job" but a direction, a mission, a way that I can sustain myself and not drain myself. I pray for everyone on this list that all their cares and hurts will be vanquished and healed and that this world will one day soon see the great need for us all to live together in peace and then I know God's Light will show the way.
