I started in poodles with White & Cream miniatures going through obedience... While doing Obedience I fell in Love with Black Standard Poodles and obtained my first standard soon after... My travels since starting in Poodles have taken me to Goals I could never Imagine over 20 years in poodles... WOW What a trip!!!! Good, Bad and Ugly I can say I have experienced it all, literally...

It was with my first Standard Poodle "Shadow" my kennel name came into play...

How our Kennel name came to be:

Tanis Deanna was combined "T" From Tanis & "eanna" from Deanna  to create Teannas

Black Standard poodles is where I have made my mark... I started with Shadow she hated the show ring. Shadow finished her championship after a long struggle and was retired from the show ring her real value was in the whelping box, so I bred her... She is now a Top Producer, and was the start to our Journey...

Ch. Teannas Sparkling Tia has made us very proud and is the foundation We built many of our dogs on. Tia is also a Top Producer of 8 Champions... For such a small kennel this is quite an achievement, especially when all but 2 of the 8 were shown by myself to their Championships breeder owner handled...

My success in Poodles Can not go without saying I have a very supportive Husband... Brad has been on the board of Directors for The SPCA, for the last 20 years, having held the position of Treasurer for 10 years and President as well as Vice president... With a husband very active in the SPCA our entire family has been very supportive of any and all fundraisers... I have assisted the SPCA in some of the major fund raising drives such as the SPCA building fund, granite tiles were one of the major fundraisers put into place... We have done the dog jog every year and have been the top fundraiser for a family or group on many occasions...Brad is planning on stepping down with the SPCA in 2006 to spend more time with me and the poodles, with that said we will continue our support of the SPCA and all there functions... 

Some of the positions I have held are Director for the Poodle Club of Canada, Secretary for the Poodle Club of Alberta... I have been on the show committee for the First Poodle Club of Canada Western National & Poodle Club of Alberta Regional Specialties, as well as the Vice President of the PC Alberta in 199?

I have written many articles that have been published in the Dogs in Canada Breedlines, as well as the Poodle Club of America & Canada Newsletters...

I can also taken great pride in mentoring and supporting in Poodles and other breeds several people that will make a significant contribution to the dog world
