Born March 1981.  We were fortunate to be able to lease Edie-Ann for Happy Daze's first litter.  The resulting litter surpassed our expectations with three superb dual purpose whippets.   "Mikey" finished in the ring and then soon turned his talents to the race track, where he finished his Award of Racing Merit in short order.   His field championship was earned in three trials in Canada.   Oval racing was fairly new to us and we decided to give it a try and we soon found out this was where his true talent was.  He finished his Oval Racing Championship quickly, setting a 220 track record and won several meets, being basically unbeatable on the Calgary Oval.   We tried obedience and he earned two CD legs, but was a little too "ring-wise" for that endeavour.   Mikey was a very quiet, sweet dog and a wonderful pet for many years.  Bred only three times, Mikey is the sire of Ch. Boarley Shabby Tiger, Am.Can.F.Ch.; Swiftsure Paper Moon, Am.F.Ch.; and Claire Larsen's outstanding litter of coursing champions, Reckless Disregard, Attractive Nuisance, Due Care, Emminent Domain and Waterdance Pluck who dominated lure coursing in Washington and Oregon.

Littersister, "Raven", was originally owned by Nancy Nickel and she, too, finished her Award of Racing Merit title quickly.   After two litters, Raven was eventually returned to us at age 5.   She was so lovely we decided to show her and she finished with a Group placement from the classes.  Unfortunately, she had to be spayed and one of our deepest regrets is that we were not able to have a puppy from her.   Raven had a delightful personality and lived with Linda's parents to age 15.  She is the dam of Wilpen Nechako, ORC; Wilpen John Henry, RCH; and Nickel's Toastimente of RR, ARM.

Littersister, "Fancy", owned by Edie Fisher and co-owned by Swiftsure.   Our pick of the litter, Fancy finished in the ring with a 5 point Specialty win under the legendary Norman Ellis.     As she didn't live with us she didn't get to as many events as Mikey and Raven, but was as outstanding an athlete as her littermates.   She had ARM points on the straight track and also several Oval Racing championship points.   She had one litter, by Luke's Jay Jess of Toro, ARM, and produced two titled sons, Ch. Swiftsure Rainbow Warrier (ORC and ARM pointed) and Luke's Swiftsure Jayson, ARM, ORC.
