Published in 1998 by Fernwood Publishing and edited by Jacqueline Stalker and Susan Prentice, in a book called The Illusion Of Inclusion: Women and Post-Secondary Education, this personal herstory uses humour and pathos to explore recent academic experiences of an older, working-class woman of size. It chronicles her attendance at an elite university designed initially for rich, young, white males; but more recently restructured to accommodate -if not celebrate- elite, slender young women.
