                                  Many thanks to everyone that entered our contest.

                      

                               Who Are We?  TLC began operation in 1990.  We are a nonprofit and a                                       registered charitable organization.

 

We have been honored, over the years, with several commendations including the 2000 Canada Post Community Leadership Award.  We were highlighted as a model of quality in the Exemplary Practice in Manitoba document.  As well, we were highlighted by the Ministry of Education, Training and Youth in the Exemplary Program Compendium submission at the meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Americas in Uruguay.

              GOALS:

·        to recruit and train volunteer tutors, and trainers, and where necessary, hire persons to coordinate tutoring activities, teach small group classes, and administer and assist the office.  

·         to provide tutoring to English-speaking adults and youth who wish to improve their literacy skills.

·         to promote community interest in this endeavor

·         to carry on this work without profit.

 

                      Mission Statement:
