Tsehum Cove Trestle:

Once I decided to create a small cove at front of the layout, I needed a trestle to carry the track to the On30/18 interchange. I used balsa and dowling and stained it with Danish Teak Oil. While I think it turned out reasonably well, next time I would use more pilings.

Loading Dock:

The interchange loading dock was made from balsa strip and painted and weathered with acrylics. I built the crane (still in progress) from brass rod, tubing, and washers. The eyebolts and working pulleys are model ship hardware I found at my local hobby shop. The pulleys are a bit oversize (they would be perfect for Gn15!) but I still like the look of them. The gas pump is from Evergreen Hill Design and the small tank is from a Roundhouse Old Timer tank car and has been shortened for a more "chunky" look. Both the pump and the tank were painted with acrylics.

Engine Shed:

I was looking for a small "critter" shed and spotted Schomberg Scale Models' "wood and coal shed". The overall dimensions suited the layout and even my Bachmann Porter fits. I still have to decide about the final configuration (open? closed?).
