Email Correspondence Courses Global Group: This course is based on the idea that the magical power of soul (White Magic) is available to anyone who is prepared to learn through group study and meditation. The Global Group meets on a regular schedule by e-mail. Our membership is varied on many dimensions, such as geography, work background, life experience, age, and experience in esoteric studies. We share our varied learnings, challenges, insights, and experiences as part of our own growing understanding of the Life we are living. Some of us have been members of the Global Group for a few years; others are new to the group. All of us learn from the contributions of all the members of the group, regardless of our different starting points in this work. Our diversity contributes to our strength. There are no fees to join the Global Group. The only membership obligation is to live Life as well as we can, and to share that living with the Global Group members through the course process. Course Schedule Every three weeks, participants receive a reading assignment and some questions asking for their views on the subject matter. They have two weeks to formulate answers and to distribute them to all the members of the Global Group. Participants then have one week to consider the responses that others have distributed and to distribute comments on the responses to all the Group members. Each three-week cycle requires an average of eight to ten hours, ideally, in two or three study sessions. We also request that all group members follow a daily meditation practice. The first session will be distributed Monday, September 26th, 2011, with Responses due by Sunday, October 9th and Comments due by Sunday, October 16th. A new three-week cycle then begins on October 17th. The cycles will continue through until June 2012, with a term break in December. Sounds Like Soul: Knowing the Self as Energy The purpose of the course is to help people become more aware of the qualities and functions of the energies which impact humanity so they can use more deliberately and with precision the energy systems that constitute a human being. The learning is based on listening, with weekly instructions, to assigned programs of music so we can recognize different vibrational qualities and resonances that animate our energy bodies and centres and produce effects in our everyday lives. Course Schedule Members of the course receive, by email, weekly schedules of daily music programs and meditations accompanied by specific listening suggestions or instructions. At the end of each day’s session, members make a note of their experiences and learning and at the end of each week they distribute summaries of their notes to all the other course members. The course requires about 30 minutes per day - about 20 minutes of listening and meditation, then a few minutes to write notes - plus about 30-40 minutes at week’s end to contemplate, write and distribute a Weekly Review. The course begins on September 12th, 2011 and continues every week for twelve months with a less structured program June to September. The course is open to anyone who has access to the Internet, regardless of previous experience in esoteric studies. There is no fee for the course.
