Scott Gibb's large scale outdoor railroad, the
Dumont Express Lines has been under construction since 1994. Scott started
with a small oval of track to run his modified New Bright trains on. A
building here, a switch there, a few more feet of track somewhere else,
repeated over a few years and pretty soon Scott had a major layout on his
hands. At present (1999) the DEL has 8 hand-laid switches, about 100 feet
of hand laid track, two towns, and runs Bachmann cars and engines, including
Big Haulers and a Climax. The scratch built towns are lighted, the signals
work, including the order boards on the station, the crane runs by remote
control and the trains run on DCC. Lets go sight seeing on the DEL.
