The
pattern of tulips embedded within a hillside of tiny blue flowers provided
the subject of this painting. The orange/red flowers fluoresce under the
influence of this background sea. Placed on a hillside the eye is drawn
upward from the nearby tulips to where they merge with other colours.
Individual forms are unimportant against the underlying pattern. |
