Case Studies

The very fabric of you

is so familiar,

It seems as if we are woven

of the same thread.

Natural materials may be infused with energetic properties.  Medical care-givers may use Therapeutic Touch to energize bed sheets or drinking water for the well-being of their patients.  One of the most common materials to use is cotton.  Regular absorbent cotton batting in a roll that you would purchase from the drugstore makes for a nice item that is easily given or mailed to clients.

Following is a first experience of providing energized cotton.

A client had damaged her finger and had surgery on the tendons with three areas of incision, a support pin inserted and sutures.  The pin was to be removed and she was relaying the painful ordeal she had been going through.

I decided to energize some cotton with specific properties and intentions directed at her particular concerns.  I gave her the cotton with only a note simply saying that this was energized cotton and to give this a try on her finger and to let me know what happened.  I did not leave any details as I wanted a “no pre-conceived” report back.

Here is what happened over the course of a few days:

“I shall try the cotton.  I had wrapped it around my finger but had to remove it to write this because my finger started tingling.  That feeling will take some getting used to.”

“I was exercising my finger and it hurts.  I wrap the cotton over it and it is a very comforting sensation.  It also has an almost magnetic-like feeling.  Very nice and comforting.  I don’t understand why, but I am willing to enjoy the results.”

“Over the weekend, I used the cotton on my finger and also slept with it.  Instant relief.  I really noticed a quick healing taking place.  The fact that my finger has undergone an amazing change over the weekend is very clear.”

“I am gaining excellent ground at bending it.  I may not be a true believer, but there is definitely something going on.”

“I am in awe of the results!  You should see my finger!  Yesterday my daughter was looking at my hands and asked which one had been hurt.  I have gotten more movement and function out of it every day!”

There have been some wonderful experiences from the services we provide.

A geriatric dog that could not rise from the floor without assistance, was able to get up on his own; a Japanese Chin uncertain about people became very friendly; a mixed-breed dog afraid of thunder/fireworks was not nearly as stressed on New Year’s Eve; a little Jack Russell that actually mainly used her front feet rather than the rear (due to “playing” with heavy objects that weighed her down) began using all fours; a little Pygmy goat that was deemed to have a neurological disorder was able to lift and bend his leg…

...all of these were after only one massage session.

Most of the following accounts are as told to us by the animal guardian or client themselves.  The comments are in their own words as observations they have made.

The others are told by us as they happened.

“Princess” was but a young puppy when she tried climbing over a baby gate and ended up injuring her back.  After visits to the specialists and the estimate of impending costs relating to surgery (with no guarantees  - only a 50/50 chance of walking again), her guardian decided that complimentary modalities were the route she was going to go.

With the aid of her veterinarian, a qualified acupuncturist was retained along with my services.  As fractures were involved, once again Therapeutic Touch and energized cotton were suggested.

Energized cotton was mailed off and I received a photograph of Princess in order that distance healing via Therapeutic Touch and bone moving may be used.

During the course of recovery, notes were exchanged and compared between the guardian and myself.  Not surprising to me, but amazing to the guardian, the acupuncturist and myself were drawn to focus on the exact same areas of Princess’ body.

Each with our intentional focus was able to contribute to the recovery process.  Princess healed to the best of her body’s ability, made continual improvements and within one month was up and walking without aid.

Her guardian reported that Princess made good progress at recovery and wanted all to know that there are many complementary modalities that may assist with self-healing.

Colors can also play a part when dealing with Energy Work.  They carry vibrational essences or wavelengths and may also affect feelings or emotions.  They are  associated with specific Chakras (energy areas) of the body.

Following is an observation of color:

“Frank” was a young, over zealous puppy that injured his leg.  X-rays showed that his growth plate was affected.  He was treated, immobilized and wrapped with blue bandaging.

Frank was brought to me by his guardian for some Therapeutic Touch.  When performing Therapeutic Touch, I most usually ask the body what color it is  wanting and needing.  In this instance, blue with it’s properties was indeed the answer.

A few days later, Frank was returned to the veterinarian for a re-check and bandage change.  This time a yellow bandage was supplied.  The guardian did make comment at the time that they should have requested blue.  However, the bandage was on and off they returned home.

It was in no time at all, that Frank had chewed and fussed and succeeded in destroying his new yellow wrapping.  Another trip to the veterinarian for re-bandaging.  This time they requested blue.  They did feel a little sheepish about this request, but make it they did.  The veterinarian obliged their wishes.  Frank returned home with his blue bandaging this time.

Frank never did bother with his new fancy blue clothing.  He left his leg alone, was comfortable and happy.  He healed remarkably well and continues to be a joyful dog.

“Sarah” was a Burnese Mountain Dog that her guardians referred to as a genetic disaster.  You name it, she had a problem with it.  She had hip dysplasia, ACL problems and arthritis along with general conformation issues.  She could not go up and down stairs and found it hard to get up after laying down.

Her veterinarian agreed that massage would be of benefit.

After only the second massage session, Sarah’s guardian’s eyes almost popped out of her head when Sarah bounced up the basement stairs and out to the yard.

She later mentioned that she felt Sarah was moving much better and appeared to be happier.

“Midget” is a little dog that is active in agility.  Her guardian brought Midget for a massage prior to eventing at a trial.

Afterwards, they came excitedly back to report that Midget had come in first in a category that previously she had never even been able to place in.

“Cheepers” was a little injured bird found on the side of the road.  It appeared that he most likely had flown into a window.  He had injured his eye and sustained a broken leg.

After a trip to the veterinarian for treatment (including the amputation of the broken limb), the little bird was returned to the guardian for recovery.  Not really expecting Cheepers to survive overnight, how surprising to see this little fighter the next morning.

Energized cotton was placed over the top of his cage,  to support continued recovery and lifeforce to this little ward.  That was two years ago.  His veterinarian has amazingly commented that it is simply “remarkable” that he is still alive.

Today, Cheepers continues to receive periodic Therapeutic Touch sessions, is provided with energized cotton; and has regular check-ups.  He is happy, active, has good muscling and has a very  beautiful voice as he sings like a canary.
