Essential Oils
Enhance a session experience with the addition of an essential oil.
With their aromas, energetic vibrations and properties, essential oils complement the time spent with us. We will intuitively, specially select from our available collection, an appropriate essence.
What is Young Living Essential Oil?
Young Living is the company/brand name of the oils we use. They are high quality, pure, unadulterated and what is referred to in the industry as “therapeutic grade”. Not all oils are created equal. Many others may have added components such as chemicals or are of a diluted nature.
Young Living oils are derived from the plant kingdom - shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes and seeds. The plants contain complex substances known as essential oils. Referred to as the essence of the plant, pure essential oils not only protect the plant but also determine its aroma. Young Living oils are freshly cultivated from healthy plants and steam-distilled.
Essential oils have been revered for centuries for their restorative properties to body, mind and spirit. From perfumes and pleasant aromas to embalming and medicinal purposes, essential oils have been used in everyday life throughout history for both people and animals.
What do you do with the oils?
For your session enhancing experience, you can expect to have either the aroma or topical application to please the senses and the body’s energetic vibrations.
Commonly, there are three basic ways in which to use essential oils. One is by inhaling the aroma (inhalation) - via diffuser or neat, another is by putting the oils directly on the skin (topical application) - neat or mixed with a carrier oil; and thirdly by placing droplets on the tongue or eating/drinking something that has the oils on/in it (internal consumption). The inhalation method is generally referred to as aromatherapy and topical application may be used as an enhancement such as with human reflexology or human massage therapy.
Various oils have different purposes and applications. One example of a common oil and its properties, would be lavender. Lavender is a versatile oil and is known for its usually soothing and calming nature. Another example would be lemon, which is generally known to have a purifying, revitalizing, uplifting aroma and is often used in cooking.
