     879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing is the Chilliwack Wing of the Air Force Association of Canada which, along with many members-at-large, is comprised of 74 such Wings across Canada and the USA.  879 Wing proudly takes the name "Earl MacLeod" in honour of Air Commodore Earl MacLeod.  Air Commodore MacLeod flew combat missions with great distinction with the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) during World War I before joining with other pioneers in forging military and commercial aviation history in Canada and British Columbia.  879 (Earl MacLeod) Wing was originally formed as a wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association and subsequently became 879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing upon the renaming of the RCAF Association to the Air Force Association of Canada.

The members of 879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing meet monthly for regular meetings and for special events such as I-DENT-A-KID, Battle of Britain, and Remembrance Day.  Members and guests are welcome to join us at our meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 at the Chilliwack ASU.   See our Wing Activities page for more details. The members of our Wing Executive Council and Committee Representatives are proud to work within our community in support of our veterans and Canadian aviation.
