Sophus Larsen Mott was born in Denmark July 14, 1887 and emigrated to the United States in 1903 through Ellis Island N.Y. His came back to Denmark for a visit and returned to the US in 1906. His is known to have started off as a dishwasher in the States. Little is known of his whereabouts although the family did receive a photo from 1909. Letters from his brother Johannes (John) to the family in Denmark does not mention Sophus at all. It is assumed by the family that he died young somewhere in USA.
