Stuff I LikeThere are lots of things I can do and am interested in. Being an artist and a poet means that you are not allowed to go to sleep. You have to be curious...VERY curious...about everything in general and nothing in particular. One cannot paint or write well unless you have a little knowledge in a lot of areas. I was a rabid reader before the 'puter came along. I like history right from it's earliest glimmers right into the far flung future. Science is fascinating as is biology and paeleontology. Theology simply blows my mind. I like to cook and garden, but I am a pretty good carpenter and all around fixer-upper as well.
By training I am an illustrator/designer. Unfortunately while I had my nose to the drafting board doing the most meticulous and amazing things by hand the rest of the world raced by driving computer controlled rapidograph pens and air brush programs. I simply couldn't compete and lacked the funds to re-train so I got left behind in the dust. I still do most of my art by hand....but I'm learning!
Always there has been my writing, both poems and short stories. I'm not really all that good but I put up a brave front. Someone has to make the truly brilliant ones look like they shine by comparison.......
I'm an avid model builder with many awards. This leads into sculpture which leads into museum work and all kinds of wiggly little projects. None of them pay worth a darn but they are lots of fun. Eventually all three of these will lead to the creation of another site on the study of boobs...I mean history! (Sorry...I've been working on an erotic painting.)
Music is also a very big part of my life. I took training in the classics while at high school so I know just enough about music to recognise when someone is trying to spoon feed me swill. Needless to say both Country and Rap fall into this category and no more shall be said about them or I will start to froth at the mouth.
I'm a big movie buff too. But now there is here. The scintillating world of the Cyber Realm and Otter is ever more curious. What does this little button do? Oops! Do you mean to tell me I just blew up Africa? Isn't there an "undo" button in this program?
