| General
Meetings
- Are held in the
Lounge of the Beban Park Recreation Centre, 2300 Bowen Road on the
third Monday of each
month (except July, August & December). Visit
our Upcoming Events page and see our list of upcoming speakers and
other events happening in the area. Meetings
commence at 1:30 p.m. Arrive early and share your interests with
others. The December meeting tends to be a social and is held on the
second Monday of December. |

- The Society operates a Genealogical Library. Please see our Library
page for location, opening hours and catalogue of holdings. |
| Newsletter - Our quarterly newsletter, AncesTree is available on line (see the Newletter page). Members are encouraged to
submit articles on genealogy. To submit a newsletter
article either email or mail it to the Society. Addresses are on the Contact page. |

Queries - If you wish NFHS to do a search of
our local records, the fee is $5 per surname searched.
Overseas, add $5 for postage. Our postal address is on the Contact page.
Remember to include your e-mail address so we
can keep you apprised of progress.

| Passenger List Indexing Project - The Nanaimo Family History
Society is indexing the
Canadian Passenger Lists for Quebec ports from 1900 - 1920.
This is a very large project and we anticipate this project taking
several more years to complete. Updates will be posted on
this web site. For more information please email our project
coordinator at nanaimo.fhs@shaw.ca and put "Canadian Passenger List Project" in the
subject box. Our
database of lists is updated regularly so be sure to click our link to
