The Woodfibre Stone was constructed in the 1950's. The Legion Cairn was constructed in 1981. The Stone and Cairn commemorated our comrades who died that we might live. Those who died in the service for their Country.
Woodfibre Branch B.E.S.L. No.181
LEGION HALL
In Memory of Those
Who Died in the Service
of Their Country
The Cairn was constructed by Legion Members and was maintained by them. The Stone was the original from Woodfibre, which joined with the Squamish Branch, in 1974. The Stone was brought to the Legion after the Old Hall at Woodfibre was torn down.
The Cairn was used on Remembrance Day for an informal wreath laying in memory of Legion Members and old employees of Woodfibre.
