Under the direction of Peter Dent, the Newcombe Singers meet Tuesday evenings 7:30 – 9:30 at St. Mary the Virgin Church, 1701 Elgin Street, Oak Bay from September through May.

First night for the 2011 season is Tues Sept 6 at 7:30 pm

Why Me? 

You want to meet new people

Why Us?

We have a welcoming environment with capable section leaders

We are a Community Choir with a long and proud history

We are non-auditioned and provide for extra choral training

We perform in formal concerts and community sing outs in venues from the beaches of Oak Bay to the halls of the Legislature

Our music covers the range from classical to pops and jazz; Bach to the Beatles

We have an extensive library of music from Bach to the Beatles

We have four sections – Soprano Alto, Base and Tenor

We love to sing and get enjoyment through improving our skills and performing

Our fees are low - $120.00 a year and a one time deposit of $50.00 for music and vest

We have very simple “uniform” needs

And finally, we have the potential for travel tours and choral exchanges
