We live in Quesnel, a small city in the center of British Columbia, Canada. The Quesnel area population is approximately 25,000. It is the gateway to Historic Barkerville. You can find out more at www.city.quesnel.bc.ca/. I moved here when my parents took out a 'homestead' in 1960.My husband moved here in 1953.We both went to school and raised families here. We became a blended family when our four oldest were in their early teens and my youngest was 7. Our kids all live and work here and now we have four handsome Grandsons (fourth one born June 2004)and a beautiful Granddaughter (as of December 2002)! Over the years we both moved away for very short periods, but always came back. It is a very nice part of B.C. to live in. There are a lot of recreational activities that are available.

I opened a family daycare in our home in 1988 and had a wonderful business for 16 years. In September 2000, I semi-retired, then in June 2004, I closed my daycare. I was partners with my daughter-in-law in a home-based, decorating business for a year. Then sold that and retired.

So now the things that keep me busy are my family, friends, garden, crafts, reading, scrapbooking and stamping. I won't even mention how much time I spend on the phone and the computer.
My husband and I really like to cook. We have a lot of recipe books and get even more recipes on the internet, but we usually adapt the recipes to our liking.
We also enjoy taking pictures. I will be changing the photos from time to time. If you would like to have these, please right click and 'save as' to your computer.
