"Our new GTO is a quick-handling, agile Wide-Track. It comes in either a 2-Door Coupe or roomy Hatchback Coupe.
"GTO's styling really gets down to business. There's a
blacked-out split grille with inset parking lamps. Pontiac's tough-looking shaker
hood that scoops up cold, dense air. Body-colored sport mirrors. Mag-type
Rally II wheels. And contemporary GTO I.D.
"Underneath, GTO is just as tough as its reputation.
It comes with a beefy suspension that includes front and rear stabilizer bars and
firm shocks.
"A special Radial Tuned Suspension with FR78-14 steel-belted radials is also available.
"GTO's performance comes from Pontiac's new cold-air induction 350 4-bbl. V-8, teamed with a tough, floor-shifted 3-speed and a 3.08:1 rear axle that relays the power to the low-profile E70-14 belted tires. And GTO's Rally II wheels come six inches wide.
"Low-restriction dual exhausts dump at the sides, behind the rear wheels. Power front disc brakes are available for the ordering. You can also order bucket seats and a console to go along with the special GTO identification plates on the inner doors. If you do, full rally instrumentation is available, including an electric tach. To keep closer tabs on the way things are going.
"1974 GTO. The tough little road car that's earned a big name for itself. After all, the Wide-Track people have a way with cars."
