Anyone who has ever ever worked on an independent film will tell you "The pay is bad but the hours are long".  Making a film when you have  money is easy, you can always buy  anyone and anything you need.  But making an indie means finding a group of like-minded people who share a vision and just plain love the process of filmmaking.  Sure, Hollywood pics are okay, but we're talking about films with soul.

And by the way, you don't have to be a filmmaker to appreciate the spirit of independent film.
