The Victoria based Latin-Jazz acoustic
guitar duo, Los Gringos
Locos, featuring Al Sabourin and Mike Sampson has been
entertaining audiences with their unique sound since 2000. Venues
include: the Victoria International Jazz Festival; the Latin Caribbean
Festival; the Classic Boat Festival; the Dragon Boat Races Festival; and
the Esquimalt Lantern Festival. Los Gringos Locos have also been regularly featured at the Butchart Gardens, Vista 18, the Superior Cafe as well as numerous cafes, pubs and private functions.
They have been featured on the A Channel morning show and have received favourable air play on local radio stations. Their music has also been featured on a number of documentary videos.
Los Gringos Locos
have released three CDs: “Places We've Been”, “Against the Sky”
(dedicated to co-founding member Ian Callan) and “Engage” to
