Dear Friends, Neighbours and Fans, My family and I would like to thank you most sincerely for all your emails, letters, cards, support and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Victoria, and the Palliative Care unit at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. When Mike knew he was terminally ill and that his time was very limited he decided to put some unpublished novels on his website as a gift to his readers to download free. As you will see, since then Peter Crowther of PS Publishing and Dorothy Lumley, Mike's agent have decided it would be a much greater gift to publish two titles "I REMEMBER PALLAHAXI" and "HELLO SUMMER GOODBYE" in a deluxe slipcase containing both titles. We feel Mike would be very agreeable to this and certainly it would be a great tribute to him. We would like to thank most sincerely Peter Crowther and Dorothy Lumley for their thoughtfulness and Jim Courtnier for all his help with the website. Sincerely, Daphne Coney and Family We're removing I REMEMBER PALLAHAXI, Mike's follow-up to HELLO SUMMER, GOODBYE, following a surprise approach to Mike's agent, Dot Lumley, from Peter Crowther at PS Publishing. It turns out that Pete recalls HELLO SUMMER, GOODBYE which he received as one of the titles from the old Science Fiction Book Club in June 1976. He loved the book and, when he heard of the unpublished sequel, Pete decided to buy the rights to both titles with the intention of publishing them in autumn 2007. The books will be produced in two states: the first will be a trade paperback edition of each title; the second will be a deluxe slipcase containing both titles plus additional material and signatures of the two writers who will be writing the Introductions. Pete had this to say: "Work of the quality of HELLO SUMMER, GOODBYE should always be available and I'm delighted that PS will be able to play a part in introducing new readers to it . . . as well as, of course, in making available the sequel in the proper printed version it so richly deserves." The multiple award-winning PS Publishing produces wonderful volumes and it'll come as no surprise that we urge you to support them in this endeavour by buying copies of Mike's books when they appear. Further details will appear on PS's website http://www.pspublishing.co.uk
