We first heard about the Blood Donor Program while watching the local morning news.
I checked out the Animal Blood Donor Program at the Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic website to find out more about the donation process and decided to sign Marshal up.
We had Major tested a couple of years ago and found out he wasn't compatible.
I contacted Sarah to set up an appointment for Marshal and also told her about Major's earlier testing.
She mentioned that the animal blood donation process had made such advances over the last few years that if we wanted Major to be a donor, we could have him tested too.
The following pages chronicle Major's, Marshal's & our experience as we went through the testing and donation process.
Many thanks go out to all the staff at the clinic, they answered all our questions, we look forward to our next donation visit.
