Luxton Wins plaque from the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association
For Five Consecutive Years - “COMMITTEE OF THE YEAR" and for 2008.
The plaque is presented at the Canadian Finals in Edmonton.
Out of 44 Rodeos across Canada in our category, we were selected on the following basis.

1. Does the committee provide the paying customer with a product we are proud of?

2. Does the committee work hard to get to its potential growth in relation to the
city or town the event is being held in?

3. Who do you feel did the best job with what they have to work with in providing
the best, not only for the cowboy, but also the spectators, sponsors and everyone
else involved with the production of the rodeo?

Sandy West was also awarded in 1996 and Charlie Price in 2007 with a silver and gold Belt Buckle
for "C.P.R.A. COMMITTEE PERSON OF THE YEAR"
Chosen from a possible 68 Rodeos all across Canada.
The only 2 possible awards a committee could win, Luxton came home with both in 1996.
For winning Committee of the Year it is a great accomplishment for an event totally run by Volunteers. 
In 1996 Luxton Pro Rodeo was awarded from The District Of Langford.
The Mayor’s Award Achievement of Excellence For Community Service by a Volunteer Organization Accepted on behalf of the volunteers by Rodeo Managers Charlie Price & Sandy West.

Chosen as a finalist for West Shore Chamber of Commerce Award of Excellence Outstanding Business / Community Event.
