To avoid using revenue from the endowment funds for operational expenses the Board of the KDCF has introduced the concept: "Friends of the Foundation."

A "Friend" is someone who agrees to donate $100 per year

to the Foundation. The donation is used as follows:

$85 to offset the operating expenses and $15

to cover the costs of an annual wine and cheese.

Each "Friend" benefits by receiving a tax receipt for

a charitable donation of $85.

At the wine and cheese event, the "Friends" receive

a written and oral report on the Foundations activities.

In this way the Board hopes the KDCF will be

accountable and transparent in its operations.

If you would like to become a "Friend of the Foundation" you can contact one of our Directors, send us an email, or mail your cheque for $100 to the address on our contact page. A charitable tax receipt for $85 will be mailed back to you.
