Another
game that many were waiting for patiently and again well worth the wait.
I had never played
Space Fleet
but I knew what the game was about and I did have a copy of it in my hands
but never decided to
buy it
at the time. That original Space game used quite a different system, with
hexes and ship reference cards
and was
only on the shelves for a short time. The only thing that bothers me is
the limit of Fleets available and that
the Eldar
and Orks were only pirate fleets. Well the guys at Fanatic
are sure to rectify this with more fleets available,
such as
the Tyranids and also the release of the Battleship for the Eldar made
it a full fleet of its own. Below are some
links to
images of some of my Fleets. I've got an Ork fleet with a massive Hulk
which was built by John Oliver and myself and
as soon
as I have some good images of it and the rest of the ships I'll post it
here. Updated Nov. 16/00. John just finished his Hive
fleet and
I'll try and post some images here soon. We tried a game versus Chaos and
I basically wiped him out. They are going
to be a
tricky fleet to use but I am sure we will find out the best tactics for
them through lots of play testing.
Update
Jan.30/02 : I know I haven't updated this
page much and I need to get some better images of my fleets
so I'll
be working on that soon. I've also started collecting a Necron fleet a
Tyranid fleet (sparked up by Mark Jones
conversions
in Gothic magazine) and Space Marines painted in the Dark Angles colors.
Again I hope to add some images
soon so
keep checking here periodically.
Feb.24/02;
Got some new images of my Imperial fleet adn Chaos and working on some
images of my Space Marines,
also got
one shot of an Ork Hulk which was built by John Oliver and some by myself.
I gave it a quick paint job.
Updated
April 14: With the Necrons finally done and
ready for battle.
