About John
John and his wife Cheryl have been married 35 years and have four children who attended local public schools and were active in the scouting movement and Juan de Fuca Lacrosse. Before he retired in 2005, John spent 35 years working on Victoria's regional water system with CRD Water (formerly the Greater Victoria Water District) and was President and Chief Negotiator for CUPE 598 for 17 years. After 24 years of public service and 13 years as the Mayor of Metchosin, John has provided proven leadership.

Dear Metchosin Resident,
Thank you for visiting my website. Since 1987 I have served Metchosin residents as mayor, alderman, and school trustee. I am proud of the way we have worked together to create a community that is now recognized as a model for cost effective small community management and lifestyle preservation.
This achievement has been accomplished in large part because you and other residents take the time to actively work to protect our rural lifestyle and ensure that it is supported by the people you elect as your representatives.
