NC I, 60-61 |
Aristotle introduced the metaphysical concept of entelechy.
The entelechy of a living being is conceived of as
the inner telos (end) of its internal material process of becoming,
and, as such, it is clearly distinguished from any external teleological
relation. (NC I, 60-61; WdW I, 41).
Dooyeweerd rejects the idea of entelechy as being fundamentally
related to the view of substance. The Idea of a qualifying function in
an individuality structure is very different.
