Sawing the blank

Cut a flat for drive spur

Securely mounted between centers.

Outside shape done, notice the tenon for my chuck.

Using a spade bit to set my hollowing depth.

This is the business end of a OneWay boring bar.

And here is the torque arresting part.

Getting down to business, you have to love cutting green wood.

Almost finished, a careful light touch is needed here.

A spigot turned from scrap to "friction drive" the piece between centers.

Removing the tenon, the little "nub" will be cut away with a chisel and finish sanded.

Here's the base, all cleaned up.

Just needs to air dry, then sanding and oiling.
