This new seedling is scheduled for release in 1998. Six inch flower in the formal decorative catagory. It won the best seedling in Nanaimo in 1995, thus the name. It was produced in a backcross of my first release, Hy Clown, onto its mother, Jean M, which was produced from Australian seed in 1970 by a good friend, Bill Hoopfer. It was very famous in its time, but is seldom grown these days. It provides the genetics for the lovely petal recurve of its offspring.
A sister seedling is Hy Vanessa, also scheduled for 1998 release.
