It is said that every page must have a purpose. In general, I go by the rule that if you can't express something in one concise sentence then the subject needs to be examined more thoroughly.

As the writer has spent many exhaustive months communicating and taking down names, dates and places to find and search for her long lost relatives and obtain family trees, only to discover things like the origin of the surname was at one time quite different and that throughout history, cities and areas in Germany have all changed and been renamed and grouped into different sections. 

Along with the fact that the writer does not read or speak German too well since living in Canada for so long, trying to read official German documents that came in the mail and ahnentafels that were written in the very old German style handwriting which today's modern day German cannot even read....along with the internet sites being in their native German language, it was quite a feat but well worth it.
