" If you're taking the time to read reference letters you are taking your decision seriously. We got married last year, and like all
couples we wanted the day to be unforgettable – both in terms of the experiences we planned, and in the way we would remember them.
The choice of photographer was intimidating. It seemed the more people we met with, the less we knew about what we wanted, and the
more that we would be following the script of the photographer. Making a choice was made more difficult by the risk it presented – we
could only choose one and if they did not do a good job, we would regret it for the rest of our lives. This anxiety lessened tremendously
when we met Hamid Attie. We had seen his website and were impressed by the quality of his work. When we went to meet Hamid, he
was genuinely excited for us and “our big day”. We spent so much time talking about what we had planned, and how we wanted it to be
captured, that we forgot that we were supposed to be interviewing him as our photographer. He encouraged us to take our time to think
our various choices for photographer over and wished us the best of luck whatever we decided. We took our time to decide ...about a
fifteen minute drive home!

Over the coming months, Hamid was in constant contact and went with us several times to survey the areas that we would be
shooting. Our wedding involved two formal shootings in parks on both sides of the city, a shooting at a beach, a flower garden at UBC,
and a six hour boat cruise to wrap it all up. Not once did Hamid complain. To the contrary, he kept the day fresh with new ideas and
surprised us with shots we had not planned. As the day progressed, Hamid made us feel completely at ease and his playful sense of
humour and deep understanding of the event.

We have not taken a lot of time to talk about the pictures themselves, all we need to say is that we cherish them and look at
