PETER ELLIOT

Peter Elliot has established himself as a modern gorilla suit master with his efforts in costume and choreography in films like GREYSTOKE: THE LEGEND OF TARZAN, GORILLAS IN THE MIST and BUDDY. With a background in theatre, Elliot claims to have had an early fascination with mimicking animal life. His first foray into gorilla suit work quickly ramped up into a major project. Initially cast as one of Tarzan's extended simian family in GREYSTOKE, Peter's talents lead to his lead role in assembling and training other ape actors after a long period of research into primate behaviour at the University of Oklahoma.
Numerous gorilla or ape-man roles followed. Peter Elliot also played the titular role in KING KONG LIVES, the much maligned sequel to the 70's remake. Elliot's performances are impressive in their natural execution and demonstrate how gorilla suit work has evolved from it's birth in silent film.
