This
Hungarian immigrant was a major suit performer presence in sixties
television and film. The talented artist created a variety of creatures for
high profile shows like STAR TREK and THE OUTER LIMITS. His ape-like Mugato
was a memorable foe for Captain Kirk and he also created and played the
sympathetic silicon alien, the Horta. Simian appearances ranged from Darwin
the monkey in "The Sixth Finger" to the caged gorilla who kills one of the
intelligent chimps in ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES.
