Currently nothing exists in the way of biographical data for Art Miles outside of his credits listed on the IMDB. Born in 1899, Miles began acting in the 1930's and had his first gorilla appearance in the 1939 remake of THE GORILLA alongside Bela Lugosi. Art Miles had a suit that was distinctive from others of the period - bulky and imposing, the facial features were almost orangutan and subsequently more natural. The suit was used in several times, often in comedic shorts like BIRD IN THE HEAD with the 3 Stooges. Art Miles has roughly 70 unaccredited bit parts listed on the IMDB and worked until a few years short of his passing in 1955.
