Created in January, 1998, Giggling Iguana Productions is a Victoria-based theatre company which started out producing in the McPherson Playhouse one of Victoria’s downtown venues. In 2000, Iguana began an ongoing relationship with Craigdarroch Castle producing its hugely successful original site specific adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher.
Iguana has staged many site specific works at Craigdarroch Castle as well as other venues like The Church of Saint John the Divine. Iguana also produced I Do! I Do!, the classic Broadway Musical, as part of the Oak Bay Beach Hotel’s 2003 Dinner Theatre Season.
The Castle productions use the Castle grounds, rooms and landings as settings for the scenes, moving the audience from place to place as the evening’s story unfolds.
