HD-Now for horror fans that don't know explain a little about yourself and what horror films you have starred in..

Due to a bizarre set of circumstances,after having sailed at a very young age across the Atlantic Ocean in 7 days,with a family of Opera musicians,we landed in the magical lands of Italy.Where due to some amazing alignment of the stars I would meet years later Maestro Dario Argento...bringing me to work in movies such as Demons2,Opera,,"Giallo"(live t.v show I did with Dario for 3 months),Phantom of the Opera.....

HD-Now your first horror film was Demons 2, correct?

First Horror.Correct.

HD-For one of your first film's being Demons 2, how nervous were you knowing you were going to be working with Lamberto Bava and Dario Argento?

I was as nervous as Sally's guest were when they saw there lives were about to take a turn as she slowly transformed.And as excited as Sally was in spreading all of her Love.

HD-Before you starred in any of Dario's films, were you a fan?

It was late at night.I was around 9 years old,my mother had been sleeping for a few hours and as usual I was left to my own devices and decided to watch a late night movie called "Profondo Rosso".Maybe that was the day the stars began to align themselves and the magic took place.I fell in love with the genius of Dario,the beauty of the sensation of fear,the music that hauntingly walked me to my fathers piano(after the movie was over) to try to recreate those same notes.I followed all his movies avidly and till this day, that movie especially,still messes with my head.
So do you think I qualify as a fan?

HD-Now since you starred in many horror films, it's only right to ask. Are you a fan of the genre? And if so what attracts you to it?

I would rather make the love than watch.

As a child did you always dream of becoming an actress? If so who inspired you?

I planned I would find some way of becoming immortal.Celluloid and Vinyl seemed like the right alchemy for eternal life.
I guess I always looked up to those people that would influence me, be it to take an emotionally constructive or destructive road. I might not look up to my heroes of the latter anymore ,but I still, at times, have secret, illicit love affairs with them in my heart.

HD-In which film do you believe is your best job as an actress? Many people know you best from your role in Demons 2 and Opera, would those be one of your favorites?

Ha!!but they don't know me in my best film called "Life". I do my best even in screwing it up sometimes.

HD-I know some people will kill me if I don't ask this, what is it like working with Dario Argento?

Kill you huh?!....well maybe I shouldn't answer... and then call Dario to come shoot the killing "LIVE",putting him in cinematographic history not only as the best director of our time,but the best director of ALL TIME.
But I will have mercy and let you live...let's say some words that come to my mind are-challenging,nerve wrecking, magical, exciting, serious, overall the most amazing times in my life.

HD-Now many criticize Phantom Of The Opera which you starred in to be one of Dario Argento's worst film's. What are your thoughts on this and the film?

I get these questions every time.And I guess all it has brought me to become is really sick and tired of criticism and critics.I might say a work of art might not do it for me personally,that it might not tailor to my tastes.But to out right say something is bad,wrong?
People have fought wars,have been put into jail,have died,killed... when one is prejudice towards someone skin colour.God forbid we criticize that.
When will the day come that the parallel will be seen?
This is what I call racism towards the invisible color--- the color we call Soul.
And yes...I am a fan of the Phantom.I found it to be a very courageous move.The move of an artist who needed to express the desire of his own vision.

HD-What director or actor would you want to work with?

Right now it is directors Darren Aronofsky.

HD-In the rest of your career what would you like to accomplish?

I would hope I grow to stay true to my dreams.I hope these dreams are surrounded by songs written and sung by me.Music is my main love.Peace of mind is my main aim.

HD-So what can we expect from you in the future?

What I accomplish is what I hope you would expect.

HD-You have worked on a lot of film's, but what film's do you have the fondest memories of? Any off screen jokes or pranks you can tell us about?

You mean like me having the habit of killing off and hiding the bodies of seamstresses to get their part?Hey...It worked in 2 movies.
But I really want to say this.Making a movie is a real serious job.When you are on big budget sets with people like Argento,Bava,Avati...it's all about focus and dedication.
All the "crazy stuff" happens off the set...thats if you or they are not too tired and sleeping soon after a days shoot to witness it.But that is all "professional secrecy".I cannot betray my co-workers.

HD-As an actress what types of movies do you like to act in? And what do you want your character to be like?

I do like those roles that allow me to go where I and others dare to go.I am in awe of the human psyche,I am in awe of human awerness.It's the fear that excites me, when a role can help me touch that buried side of my soul , bringing forth any form of healing or discovery.
But I must tell you that I honestly feel all of that mainly when I write or listen to music.

HD-Do you think you will work with Dario Argento again?

I am always told I have big psychic powers,but I really cannot answer that question.I must say that having worked on 3 movies with him and a t.v show is more then many Argento actors could have ever bargained for.If more should come,that is to be seen.But more than anything else I hope my friendship with him will never end.
I just released my debut cd "Limbo Balloon".For now I am concentrating on that.The title track of the CD is on the soundtrack of the yet to be released movie "Dummy",with actress Milla Jovovich,directed by Greg Pritikin.
On the CD is a song I wrote for Argento.And if one listens very carefully...all I have ever experienced with him is in that song.

HD-Now as many of either no or don't, you were actually born in Manhattan and moved to Italy for the love of opera. What draws you to opera music so much??

Well...I guess having an Opera singer for a mother and an Opera director for a father,and growing up in a household where Opera was tought,sung and loved all day long certainly helped.
With the only difference that out of one of those rooms ,one fine day the sounds of Rock and Roll were to be heard as well.

HD-When the whole opera ordeal did not work out for you, I understand that you studied UFO's. How did this come about?

Well my website also says I did not have fully developed vocal chords. Is that why this interview is via email and not by phone?
Truth is the Opera thing did not happen as an unconscious rebellion towards my father. The UFO studies?Those began when I found myself in Topeka,Kansas.I was carnaly molested by a lizard skin alien.It was not as unpleasant as you might think.
