I was welcomed into the world by my parents Megan and Jamie on March 11, 2006
10:02 PM (PST) in Kelowna General Hospital
I weighed 8 lbs, 12 oz!
I was 52 cms, 20.5" tall, and my head was 33.5 cms
My APGAR was 5 on first reading, then 9 a bit later (no one gets a 10 in KGH)

Day 2 and all is well as far as I am concerned, and my Mom is doing a really good job.

Well, its's 2:45AM, and I am not sleeping. This can only mean one thing; Chloe is home now. She's allowing me to get some stuff done while she has a late night snack.
We were discharged from Kelowna General Monday at 12:30PM, and decided to head for Home......Depot. Chloe's first stop from the hospital. With all the renos we've been doing, she's spent a lot of time with me at Rona etc, but she was in the tummy. well, she wasn't too impressed, she slept the entire time there. Big Day!!
So we are home now and Chloe is letting Jamie & I know who's boss at night. I still haven't slept but I know I will later in the day. Colleen is here to help me out, so I will be able to sleep a little anyways. So I thought I'd pass along the few photos we have so far.

Here are some recent shots of the girl. We take them on our cell phone, so the quality isn't all that great. Amazingly, I can get a lot done with her, even one handed. In about 2 weeks, Jamie will be home during the day, so I probably will only get to hold her for feedings and diaper changes. She is over 9 lbs now, way to go Chloe, and Mom, Thats a lot of feeding time. Anywhoo, here are the pictures.
Chloe just had a bath. She's a water baby like Mommy. Good thing we live on a lake.
Chloe was yawning as I took the picture, but it looks like she's telling Dad "what's what"!
She gave me the finger. My goodness, such attitude for a week old. This was just before our trip to "Toy's R' Us".
Today, we went to church. She wore a dress for the first time. She was a star there.
She's just so darn cute. Man, my baby is beautiful. Its' funny to hear her mimic you when you are on the phone. Jamie was talking and holding her, and she was talking too, so funny.
Jamie & I are competing to see who loses the most weight in a 6 week period. As we just passed week 1, here are the results: total loss for Jamie 14lbs in a week, total loss for Megan 22 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant remember when I last updated everyone on Chloe. Man, she a night owl. Poor mom doesn't get a whole lot of sleep. Dad is a pro at calming Chloe if she's being a fussy girl, mom is just good at handing Chloe off to him.
She's close to being asleep now, so I'm going to try to get some rest too. But I have a really cute picture of her that I wanted to share. She is now 11 days old, and smiles in her sleep. I think she's dreaming about kicking me. She actually laughed in her sleep yesterday....which was a little creepy.
I missed her day 10 photo, but Jen took some real pictures of her so I will scan them once they get developed. She also lent me a real camera, so I will be spending lots of money on developing costs.

We just came back from the doctor. Chloe is now 9 lbs 10 oz. Doc says she's chubby in all the right places, and BEAUTIFUL!!!! Did I mention stinky? Between her dad & her, I'm not sure who can clear the room faster.
Anyways, the nurse said that Chloe was super advanced for her age. Woohoo! But when I said that to Jamie the other day, he called me a cocky mom. Well I guess I am, but she gives me reason to be.
And on the weight-loss front, ! have lost 32lbs. I fit into my skirt today, what a great feeling. I still have a ways to go, but with lugging her around in her carseat, I will build good muscle up again.
Her is the picture that I took of her today at the Doctor's office. She made quite an impression on all the staff.
