The DT402R is the radio equipped throttle (same as the DT402 but with the radio system installed). It has a range of approximately 200 feet, operates in the 900 Mhz band, and will run on either rechargeable ni-cad batteries or standard alkaline batteries. The DT402R throttles send their signals to a radio/IR receiver module (UR91). |

The UR92 is a Duplex Transceiver/IR receiver unit. The UR92 looks similar to a UP5 and is mounted in the fascia of the layout. The UR92 is simply an addition to your existing LocoNet so no additional wiring is needed. The UR92 will support dozens of DT402D Duplex Radio throttles in Duplex wireless mode and can support approximately 10 Infra-Ready throttles simultaneously (examples of which are the DT100, DT300, UT4, UT4/R, DT400, DT400R and any of the DT402 series). The UR91 is the radio/IR receiver unit. It looks similar to a UP-5 and is mounted in the fascia of the layout. The UR91 will support approximately 10 DT400R throttles or UT4R throttles. Most layouts will require only one UR91. The unit is also equipped for concurrent infrared operation which is available using the DT402 throttle that is being shipped with Chief and Empire sets, as well as other Digitrax IR throttles (DT300, DT100IR).

The UR90 is the IR receiver unit. The UR90 also looks similar to a UP-5 and is mounted in the fascia of the layout. The UR90 is simply an addition to your existing LocoNet so no additional wiring is needed. The UR90 will support approximately 10 DT100IR's , DT300/400's, UT4's. Some layouts will need more than one UR90 because IR is line of sight and the receivers must be able to "see" the IR signal. UR90 & UR91 can be used together on your layout to provide both wireless methods at the same time. If you have DT100IR's, DT300/DT400 throttles that came with your Empire Builder or Chief Set, or UT4's the UR90 is the only thing you have to add to get infra red throttle operation. |
