Questions about Jeri:

*What's your relationship to Jeri?
Jeri was my grandmother's sister, making her my great-aunt.

*What is Jeri's real name?
Genevieve Lillian Hering

*How did she die?
Jeri was hospitalized for pneumonia on a Friday and passed away the following Sunday morning.

*Why did she stop singing?
Jeri was quite a shy person. When she started becoming rather well-known, she decided to leave the situation. As well, music was her passion, but singing wasn't. She started singing to get more money. It's my guess that it wasn't all that hard for her to stop.

*What movies did she appear in?
My grandmother tells me that Jeri appeared in two movies, "I, Mobster" and "The Big Beat" in which Art Carney appeared. She also sang the theme song for the movie, "Fire Down Below", which many of you have already told me about!

*Was she ever married? Does she have any children?
Yes, she married and divorced more than once. She only had one child, Kathryn King, who is a record producer.

Questions about the page:

*Why don't you have any sound clips?
I'm really not sure how legal that is. And I don't have any. There are several online things you could try if you are looking for songs on-line. Some of the links in the Store area lead to partial clips from albums.
