Zett Jukassa (29 BBY – 19 BBY; born Warpoc Skamini) was a Human Jedi Padawan from Mon Gazza.

Biography

Born to Sembric and Ashielle Skamini on the Outer Rim world of Mon Gazza, Zett was identified as a newborn as Force-sensitive, and sent by his parents to the Jedi Order.

During Zett's seventh year of life, his parents were brutally murdered. Though the boy had grown up with the Jedi and left his family as a newborn, he began to receive visions of his relatives and planet of birth.

Talk of this reached the Jedi Knight Mierme Unill as he investigated the murder of the Skaminis, and, with the permission of the Jedi Council, the Knight related Zett's early history to him, hoping his visions would be the key to finding the killers.

Mierme's intuition was correct; Zett's clues led to the Black Sun organization, and arrests were made. Impressed with the boy's maturity, Mierme took Zett as his Padawan learner.

Though it seemed Zett was gifted in farsight, his master was unable to expand on this; the outbreak of the Clone Wars made necessary a heavy focus on combat training over more passive abilities.

However, Unill was soon killed in the growing conflict, and Zett found himself back at the Jedi Temple amongst the other similarly 'orphaned' Padawans.

Jukassa fell in combat against a detachment of the 501st Legion when it attacked the Jedi Temple under the leadership of Darth Vader. He had almost made an escape towards the landing platform and a civilian speeder owned by Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan. He felled a number of clones, defending himself using the simple first form of lightsaber combat, but was cut down before reaching Organa.

After seeing the clones' brutality firsthand, Bail fled from the Temple and immediately departed Coruscant in the Tantive IV, determined to save as many Jedi as he could.

Behind the scenes

• While Obi-Wan Kenobi searched for the planet Kamino in the Jedi Archives, Jukassa was the Youngling that walked up to Jocasta Nu to ask a question after Obi-Wan Kenobi spoke to her.
• Zett Jukassa was played by Jett Lucas, son of George Lucas.
• This character went through many name changes through development, including Titi Jukassa, Tado Jukassa, Jukassa and Tado.
• Jett Lucas also played the padawan Warpoc Skamini in Attack of the Clones, though after the release of Revenge of the Sith, the two characters were merged into one with a backstory.
