    ABOUT THE ARTIST

Daniel Sam was born in Cochrane, Ontario in 1957, but did most of his growing up in the heart of British Columbia. He started drawing at an early age and as time went by his love and appreciation for art grew, allowing him to work with different mediums. He has worked with water colors, oil paints, acrylics, pastels and colored pencils. Daniel's chosen medium is graphite pencils, which allows him to capture the small details and subtle shades of grey that bring his drawings to life.

Daniel makes his home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with his wife and two children. He is self-taught with no formal art training. Those who have observed his works with appreciation continue to be simply amazed at the incredible detail that Daniel Sam is able to achieve in his drawings.

"The purpose of my work is to share with others the love I have for drawing by capturing that special moment that you can cherish forever."
