1) WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE BA CHARACTER AND WHY?
I like Bruno Southern, because he is a regular man thug brute. Its interesting seeing him juxtapositioned against all of this fantasy sword/angel stuff. He’s a good balance.
2) WHO HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CREATOR ON THE BA (other than yourself?)
I think that Derrick Fish really raised the bar, artwise. Sick.
3) WHAT WAS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT DOING YOUR PANELS?
I’m not a traditional comic book artist and I sure as hell don’t know anything about fantasy or sword and sorcery. That was all foreign territory for me, but that also made it some of the most fun to do.
4) WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PERSONAL HIGHPOINT DOING THE BA?
Watching guys like Matt and Phillip really step up to the plate and surprise me. I knew our artists would be good, but those guys really floored me. I think Christopher is an amazing writer, too. He really helped turn things in an interesting direction.
5) HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE THE BA TO NEW READERS?
No way to describe it. Just check it out.
1) WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE BA CHARACTER AND WHY?
I was just looking over the jam again, and I really like the Ringmaster's Pez clown sidekick.
2) WHO HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CREATOR ON THE BA (other than yourself?)
Vac - Michael Dargie. He's tried so many styles for his panels, and they all look fantastic.
3) WHAT WAS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT DOING YOUR PANELS?
Trying to find a balance between the unfiltered idea in my head, and what I might be able to actually draw.
4) WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PERSONAL HIGHPOINT DOING THE BA?
Following Vac's "enough" panel with something that pushed the story forward, and didn't just ignore what he had just done.
5) HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE THE BA TO NEW READERS?
"I'm working on this jam comic, with like a dozen other artists, who are all better than me".
1) WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE BA CHARACTER AND WHY?
Bruno - The Lujan & Leong versions create the epitome of the "Thug" and the way he’s evolved in the story. Amy Angel and Spooner are timeless characters that everyone will remember, but Bruno got that something that makes him cool without as much icon-y imagery.
2) WHO HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CREATOR ON THE BA (other than yourself?)
Derrick Fish - When he joined the show in Book 1, Page 3 he kicked the whole operation up a notch. His other notable panels (like Book 1, Page 5; Book 1, Page 18; Book 1, Page 21; Book 1, Page 25) all added to whatever scene was going on at the time without the dreaded "train-wreck".
3) WHAT WAS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT DOING YOUR PANELS?
Letting Jim (or any other artist) let me write anything at all! Everyone wants to do their own thing and since I can’t draw, I don’t have as much sway.
4) WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PERSONAL HIGHPOINT DOING THE BA?
So far, seeing Book 2 come about. I think it gave everything that happened in 1 some much needed closure and we MAY see some panels not involving massive fight scenes in the middle of the street.
5) HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE THE BA TO NEW READERS?
It’s comic GUMBO that we all slurp up and add more ingredients to constantly. Some may question what we all put in, but in the end everything adds more flavor. (maybe it’s more like trash-can punch…)
